Section 508 Training

Ramifications of Non-Compliance

Resolving Complaints

The likelihood that the complaint will result in litigation is low. Usually, agency personnel rectify the situation. Other times, the complaint may end in third-party resolution.

During this process, time and expense may be incurred due to:

  • Researching and refuting complaints
  • Fixing the elements of the EIT procurement
  • Replacing the EIT when remediation isn't possible or practical

Those can be better spent supporting the mission and goals of the agency. The additional work created for you and other agency employees and the risk of expense can be avoided by factoring in Section 508 requirements from the beginning and implementing the best EIT the first time.
